Halfway through National Volunteers’ Week, Community CVS want to thank Hanif for inviting Geoff Wilkinson today to Café Hub to talk to the group about the Community Asset Fund and the benefits and value of volunteering, especially to those in the Recovery Community.
The Community Asset Fund is there to help Grassroots Community Groups that can Benefit the Recovery Community either by being able to take part in those Groups activities or to volunteer for them. Awards can range from £500 to £2000, and the Group must run in the Blackburn with Darwen Borough.
Help is available throughout the entire process from Community CVS in both Blackburn (at the Boulevard Centre) and Darwen at the Jubilee Tower Credit Union on Market Street (the old Santander). Its worth remembering that Community CVS have a vast amount of experience in applying for funding and helping groups develop their ideas so, what ever stage your idea is at, we can help it go further.
We also offer support and guidance for people wanting to volunteer. We are here to help you find your perfect Volunteering Opportunity. It is our mission to make volunteering in Blackburn and Darwen easy to access, fulfilling and life-changing for everyone. There is something out there for everyone and we will help you to find it. Volunteering can save lives and help you stay on the Road to Recovery.
