Project Officer – Strengthening Communities – Passport to Health and Employment (“Action for Jobs”)

Community CVS are seeking to recruit new ‘Action for Jobs’ project officers for the Blackburn with Darwen area and/or surrounding areas to recruit and support unemployed and economically inactive people to improve their employment and educational prospects.

We are seeking a highly motivated, engaging, friendly and enthusiastic person who has the confidence to promote the project to groups and individuals in the community, ideas for recruiting new people, and an ability to enthusiastically engage with and encourage people to get involved.

You will have a case load of people to support and this will involve identifying opportunities to gain experience/confidence, appropriate learning opportunities, and volunteering, to enable them to achieve the positive outcomes of job search, employment and education. We are seeking someone with local knowledge who can enthusiastically promote the project through local contacts and groups and who is a highly motivated ‘people person’, experienced in supporting adults to achieve positive goals.

This is an exciting project funded until 30th September 2023 by external projects and by the European Structural and Investment Funds. The project is led by Community CVS and delivered through community infrastructure partners in Lancashire.
