The Recovery Community in Blackburn with Darwen is amazing. So many talented and committed people using their knowhow, skills and experiences to help others in the throes of poor mental health, substance misuse and a range of other issues.
We are so proud to be a part of Spark’s recovery collaborative enabling us to play our part in helping people in Blackburn with Darwen break free from addiction. One major way in which we do this is through the Community Asset Fund, which offers small grants of between £500 and £2000 to give projects aiming to enhance the wellbeing of people in recovery a financial boost.
This brilliant video, created by Badkarma, features some fantastic people – Rickie from Project Arise, Craig, Ryan and Pete from Roots, Phil from Secret Santa, Rolonde from Sons of Anxiety – discussing how the Fund has helped them to continue the amazing work they’re doing.
It’s humbling and gratifying to see how our small grants can have such a positive impact when placed in the hands of people with the talent and drive to help those who need it the most.
Thank you so much to all of the projects involved in this video – and all of the others we’ve funded – for your efforts, and we hope to see you all continue your excellent work enriching our communities.
