We help you and your community achieve positive social change

How we do this

Community CVS offers a wide variety of services tailored to helping people with specific needs in order to enable them to live healthier, happier lives.

Community CVS trains a bank of volunteers who are then able to support those within our community who require extra help. We also provide and signpost to tailored volunteering opportunities for people who require extra support.

In addition, we also host services which provide specific advice & support.

How we can support you

  • Ways to Well-being
Our Ways to Well-being project supports people facing severe & multiple disadvantage to improve their well-being, and become Community Volunteers through the support of Peer Mentors.
  • Fast 4wd
Through Fast 4wd, we help service users who are engaged in treatment or who are in recovery from substance misuse, to help others in their community.
  • Social Prescribing
Our social prescribing initiative offers guidance and support to people in the borough to join in ordinary everyday opportunities or groups in their local community to help to improve their mental health and well-being.
  • Inclusive Volunteering
Inclusive Volunteering is a project for people with long term conditions or disabilities, helping them to overcome barriers which can lead to isolation and exclusion from getting fully involved in their communities.
  • Volunteering for Offenders Project
People with an offending history who want a fresh start and want support to make positive changes in their lives can get help in making this a reality through our Volunteering for Offenders Project.
Through SENDIASS (Special Educational Needs & Disability Information, Advice & Support Service), we provide information, advice and support to disabled children and young people, and those with SEN, and their parents/carers.
VOICE is a small community group which is run solely by volunteers to help those in desperate need.
