Based in a beautiful location by the River Darwen in the Feniscowles-Pleasington Valley cusp, the Deaf Village Northwest offer a range of fantastic services aimed at bringing Deaf and hearing communities together in nature.

Their vision is “to establish a strong, cohesive and prosperous community where everyone is active, treated fairly and thriving, and where people’s faiths and cultures are understood and respected.”

The Deaf Village provides opportunities for team-building, woodland crafts, forestry skills, horticulture, holistic therapies and an accessible outdoor gym, as well as a fantastic communal gathering place.

Within the village is the historic White House, which offers an ideal living environment for Deaf residents with complex needs, enabling young adults to work towards their future aspirations, fostering a supportive family ethos.
