On Wednesday 29th November, Blackburn Rovers organised an International Men’s Day event at Ewood Park to coincide with their EFL Championship encounter with Birmingham City. Community CVS staff and volunteers were invited.

Mohammed Kathrada, Geoff Wilkinson and Kashif Mirza (Volunteer) provided a productive information, advice and guidance platform for men to come and talk about issues and signposting to relevant volunteering and community group services focusing mainly on men’s health and wellbeing.

Other organisations also attended, including Offload Northwest, Shad Chefs and Spark Recovery Service, just to name a few.

Offload Northwest would like to thank Community CVS for an absolutely amazing platform bringing together male peer support groups and organisations for a vital coordination regarding the wellbeing of all men.
Bringing hope to the community that fosters a true sense of belonging.
Together we can flourish & strive to provide these much needed positive spaces.
It is important to have these collaborations to show unity and strength that no man should face their struggles alone, we are much stronger together.
