The Trustees are seeking to appoint a reliable and organised Administrative Assistant to work at Blackburn Foodbank. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for supporting the whole team to ensure the efficient running of the Foodbank. The post-holder will be responsible for day-to-day financial administration and communications as well as being the first point of contact for the Foodbank. The Administrative Assistant will be expected to liaise directly with the public, guests and other stakeholders and be confident in social media communications including updating the website. They are looking for someone who is committed to, and enthusiastic about, improving administrative support, systems and processes for all at the Foodbank.

Additional duties will include minute taking at team meetings, photocopying, filing and processing mail. The post-holder will be expected to assist the Centre Manager with regular donor and supporter communications and to maintain a donor and supporter database. The Administrative Assistant will work with the team to organise the collection and distribution of printed materials and resources for schools and other stakeholders.
