Councillor Phil Riley, Leader of Blackburn with Darwen Council, said:

“Every year, we’re very grateful to the local businesses and organisations who provide sponsorship for the Community Volunteer Awards. Their support enables us to offer nominees a chance of recognition for what they do, to celebrate and be celebrated.”

Sponsor Nic McGrath of Newground Together said:

“Newground Together is delighted to be sponsoring Blackburn with Darwen’s Community Volunteer Awards. It’s a great opportunity to recognise and celebrate the amazing work of the hundreds of people in our borough who dedicate their time to support their communities and strengthen community spirit, and to play a part in shine a light on their commitment to making a difference.”

Sponsorship packages for the Community Volunteer Awards come with lots of added value, including the opportunity to access space on the Council’s digital advertising assets.

As well as offering your organisation the chance to be associated with this inspirational event in the borough’s calendar, all funds raised through sponsorship go towards making sure the event is high quality and a night to remember.

Donna Talbot, Membership Development Officer at Community CVS, said:

“Although we’ve announced our sponsors, it’s never too late there is still time for local businesses and organisations to get involved.

“The Community Volunteer Awards is a wonderful event to get behind. By sponsoring the awards, your organisation becomes associated with some of the borough’s best people as well as showing that you are backing your local community.”
