East Lancashire Hospice is calling on members of the community to lace up their walking boots and take part in the Morecambe Bay Walk on Sunday 18th May, in support of local hospice care.
Starting from Arnside and finishing in Grange-over-Sands, the walk offers participants a unique opportunity to experience one of the UK’s most breathtaking coastal walks, led by renowned guide Michael Wilson, who will expertly navigate walkers across the bay.
The walk begins at 9am, with an optional coach service available at 7.15am from Grange to the starting point in Arnside. Registration is open now at a cost of £20 per person. All proceeds will go directly to supporting East Lancashire Hospice’s work in providing compassionate, specialist care for patients and families across Blackburn, Darwen, Hyndburn and the Ribble Valley.
Jackie Morris, Community Fundraiser at East Lancashire Hospice said,
“We’re thrilled to host this event once again and give supporters a chance to enjoy the natural beauty of Morecambe Bay, all while raising vital funds for hospice care. Every step taken makes a real difference in the lives of our patients and their families.”
Participants are encouraged to wear breathable, lightweight clothing, pack a waterproof layer, bring water, snacks, and a towel, and to follow all safety instructions provided by the guide on the day.
Spaces are limited, and early registration is recommended.
