The PASTA programme (Play And Stay at Teatime Activities) has recently been piloted in Blackburn with Darwen by Community CVS in partnership with IMO. We are co-ordinating the project, with IMO responsible for delivery of the sessions.
It is similar to after school clubs but involves the whole family, with a major aim of the programme being to promote positive parent-child relationships, as well as providing a healthy meal, a safe after school environment and fun activities.
At the moment, we running a six-week pilot at St. Luke & St. Philip’s Primary School, Wensley Fold Academy and the Roots and Wings group at Bangor Street Community Centre – a massive thank you to them for participating and helping get the pilot up and running.
The service is a pilot project jointly funded by Blackburn with Darwen Public Health and Community CVS.
