Salaried position with Community CVS: Volunteer Development Officer (Preston)

Community CVS are seeking to recruit a new project officer for the Preston area to recruit and support unemployed and economically inactive people to improve their employment and educational prospects. You will identify opportunities for participants to gain experience/confidence, appropriate learning opportunities, and volunteering, to enable them to achieve the positive outcomes of job search, employment and education. We are seeking someone with local knowledge of Preston, who can enthusiastically promote the project through local contacts and groups.

The post is for a total of 30hrs per week with flexible working arrangements or part-time Job Share considered. The job title is Volunteer Development Officer. Full Time Equivalent Gross Salary – £22,183 (actual salary for 30 hours – £17,986.22). You will be working on the Strengthening Communities Passport to Health and Employment Project, otherwise known as Action for Jobs.

This is an exciting project funded until 30th September 2023 by external projects and by the European Structural and Investment Funds. The project is led by Community CVS and delivered through community infrastructure partners in Lancashire.

You will be a highly motivated ‘people person’, experienced in supporting adults to achieve positive goals and with additional knowledge of contacts, opportunities and initiatives within and around the Preston area.

  • Salary: £21,859 (full-time equivalent salary).
