The Lancashire Bowel Cancer Screening Programme (BCSP) Health Promotion Team provides information and support that raises the awareness of the Bowel Cancer Screening Programme within local communities, frontline staff, and low uptake areas across Lancashire. An Annual Report is written each year evidencing the key priorities that we have/continue to work on.
Public Engagement
The BCSP Health Promotion Officers and BCSP Volunteers attend health promotion events to educate the public and increase awareness of the BCSP.
At each event the team have an information stall, pull up banners and where appropriate will take the inflatable bowel.
The inflatable bowel is an interactive way to demonstrate the stages of bowel cancer and other bowel conditions (the overall size of the bowel is: (L x W x H): 3.5m (11.48ft) x 3.65m (11.98ft) x 2.4m (7.87ft)
For questions or to arrange members of the team to attend an event with an information stall/or inflatable bowel, email bfwh.lancscfak@nhs.net
