Together an Active Future needs you (for 5-6 minutes…)

Blackburn with Darwen and East Lancashire (referred to as Pennine Lancashire) were one of a small number of areas nationally to be selected as a Local Delivery Pilot.  This basically means there is up to £10m in funding available to improve physical activity and wellbeing across the region, with a particular focus on those who are inactive and don’t engage with any services or activities, despite all the good stuff we know goes on out there in communities, venues and locations across the borough.

Together an Active Future (the name for the Sport England Local Delivery Pilot) has now launched an online survey to be promoted across Pennine Lancashire with the intention to help us to better understand people’s barriers and opportunities regarding physical activity in the area they live.  Whether physically active or not, interested in being active or not; the survey gives everyone a chance to get involved and have a say.  This is a real opportunity to gather valuable feedback at this early stage.

Please share the survey far and wide either directly with residents or through community/voluntary organisations, clubs, public facing departments/organisation; whoever can reach our residents.  If you’re reading this, that means you as well as the groups or people you may work with!  There are also ten £50 Amazon vouchers up for grabs for anyone completing a survey before the end of April.
