Together a Healthier Future – ‘Influencing for Impact’ workshop

Following two successful workshops specifically designed for Pennine Lancashire Volunteer Managers, a further development event is being offered and will be delivered by Sue Jones.

Sue is a trainer, facilitator and coach specialising in people development, mental well-being and volunteer management. As lead tutor for the programme Excellence in Volunteer Management, Sue pioneered the development and delivery of qualifications for leaders and managers of volunteers through the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM).

Sue has worked with organisations locally, regionally, nationally and internationally to create valuable learning opportunities across the public, corporate and voluntary and community sectors. Sue is co-founder of 3b – The Mental Well-being Company and is passionate about supporting people to achieve their goals professionally and personally.

The role of Volunteer Management is often regarded as supplementary within organisations and rarely recognised for the vital part it can play in connecting different departments, as well as enabling and leading on important work. This session focuses on how you can begin to develop your influencing skills and identify methods for challenging perceptions, and changing attitudes in the workplace in order to demonstrate your value and the contribution made by you and your volunteers.

The aims of the workshop are:

  • To gain awareness and understanding of influencing skills in the role of volunteer management.
  • To explore individual strengths and challenges when influencing others.
  • To identify effective methods for influencing key stakeholders.

The workshop will create a space for participants to share ideas and experiences and to explore individual situations and understand how learning can be applied back in the workplace.    This will be a great opportunity to reflect on personal strengths and challenges, and gain the confidence to build on existing skills and expertise.

The half day session will be limited to 15 delegatese-mail them to book your place. Please indicate your first and second choice if possible.

Sessions will take place on the following dates: –
