COVID-19 – Spring North – Are you a family member of someone with a drug or alcohol addiction?

We are hearing from people about how difficult it is being at home right now with someone who is using drugs or alcohol.  Whether it’s someone who is getting drunk at home, or someone who uses drugs and is struggling with the physical and psychological effects of this, it’s all difficult for families under normal circumstances.  It is really hard right now for family members that might have to deal with those issues day in, day out without being able to leave the home.

If you are affected by these issues and would like a confidential chat, please contact  Michael Strahan (Drug and Alcohol Carers Advisor.) He can give advice, help you cope and be there to listen if you just want to talk things through.

Just phone the Carers Service main number on 01254 688440 and ask for Michael

Alternatively, you can email: michael.strahan@bwdcarers.org.uk

Stay safe, and we wish you all the very best, from all the staff at Blackburn with Darwen Carers service.
