COVID-19 – Humraaz

From Monday 24/03/20 our community hub will be closed to the public in order to limit non-essential contact, following the latest guidance. This will also enable us to prioritise our resources on continuing to provide as much support as possible for current service users whilst also allowing management and staff to implement new methods of working during these uncertain times.

At this time will be continue to provide telephone support to those in need of our service however hours may be reduced therefore it may be necessary to leave a message and we will return your call as soon as possible:

  • Advice and information will continue to be available via email at
  • We will keep in touch with those we can providing ongoing emotional support and help with practical advice.
  • We will keep in touch via our usual social media outlets of Facebook and Twitter.

We are also working closely with local partners in the Local Authority and voluntary sector to continually assess needs that are emerging. We are staying in touch with other Women’s Refuge charities to keep up to date and identify good practice.

We are all in unprecedented and uncertain times and as an organisation it is our intention to continue to provide an excellent specialist support service to our service users.

We are determined to do what we do best – support vulnerable black and minoritised women in their time of need.
