COVID-19 – Child Action Northwest

In light of the recent government advice and the rapidly changing situation in relation to Covid-19 we have put our Business Continuity plan into action and have a specific contingency plan in place in relation to the delivery of services during this period. We are aware that the ever-changing situation creates further concern and uncertainty and we have put measures in place to ensure we remain operational and can offer support to vulnerable children, families and adults in the communities we serve.

  • We have ensured that all staff who are able to do so are equipped to work from home and this has been actioned
  • We have closed our buildings other than skeleton cover to ensure we are able to deliver essential tasks
  • We have undertaken through risk assessments across all of our service areas to ensure we are able to deliver services safely using alternative means where necessary, including telephone, video and remote group work
  • We have liaised with all of our commissioners in relation to the arrangements we are putting in place
  • We have contingency plans in place for the most vulnerable individuals
  • We are working closely with other partners in the voluntary sector to ensure we pool resources where necessary.

Our main priority is the safety of our beneficiaries, staff, carers and volunteers and we will work closely with all funders and stakeholders to ensure that this remains the focus of our Charity. Our team is working hard to ensure we stay positive and proactive and can deliver services via new routes using a wide range of technology and innovation. We want to make sure we keep everyone safe and we know that communication will be essential in the weeks to come.

We will post regular updates on our social media channels and websites regarding any changes to our work during this time.
